MAHV serves the healthcare needs of patients in Upstate New York and the Hudson Valley region. Infectious Disease

MAHV offers Board Certified Infectious Disease specialists with extensive expertise in the areas of acute and chronic infectious diseases including Lyme Disease; HIV and other immunosuppressive syndromes; and skin and soft tissue infections including MRSA. Our Infectious Disease specialists hold positions as Director of Infection Control at Kingston, Benedictine and Northern Dutchess Hospitals and Director of the Wound Healing Center at Health Alliance (Kingston and Benedictine Hospitals).

Women’s Health

MAHV specializes in the primary care of women, which includes: preventative medicine, gynecological exams, menopause counseling, hormone replacement therapy, osteoporosis, breast health, and contraceptive surveillance.  Our Women's Health team now additionally offers the following services: IUD placement, Diaphragm fitting, DNC, Endometrial Biopsy and Hysteroscopy.
 

Bone Density Scan (DEXA)

Travel Medicine

MAHV, a U.S. Yellow Fever Vaccination Center, offers immunizations, pre-travel consultations and post-travel treatment if necessary. Based on the traveler’s planned itinerary, a Board Certified physician with expertise in the area of Travel Medicine will recommend immunizations and other health precautions to be taken before, during and after travel.

In-Office Infusion Therapy

Patients seeking a comfortable and convenient alternative to inpatient care for Infusion Therapy can now turn to the healthcare professionals at Medical Associates of the Hudson Valley. Offering an array of in-office infusion therapies, such as antibiotics, osteoporosis treatment, hydration and others, MAHV allows patients to fulfill their infusion needs without the need for hospitalization and on their schedule. The Infusion Therapy Center at MAHV is staffed with Nurses specifically trained in infusion therapy.

Opioid Addiction

Buprenorphine is the first opioid medication approved for the treatment of opioid dependence in a private office-based setting. The treatment is convenient for the patient, suppresses withdrawal symptoms and reduces cravings. We can help alleviate the stigma attached to addiction and increase the success of our patient’s efforts to improve the quality and meaning of their lives.

Pulmonology/Sleep Medicine

Patients seeking relief from diseases involving the respiratory tract, sleep disturbances and sleep disorders are able to obtain help from our Board Certified Pulmonologist. Our Pulmonologists holds positions as Medical Director of Northern Dutchess Hospital Sleep Center and Health Alliance Sleep Center.  

Hand Surgery

Psychiatry

MAHV patients can now be refereed to one of our Board Certified Psychiatrists for the medication management of mental health conditions including Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, A.D.D. and Eating Disorders.
